Goober and the Ghost Chasers was an animated comedy that aired on ABC.

Goober was an indescript dog who served as the mascot of Ghost Chasers magazine, whose chief reporters were Gilly, Ted and Tina. Usually when frightened by ghosts, Goober would tend to disappear except for his cap. His catch-phrase was "This is ridic-ilic-ilic-ilous!"

In several episodes, like in The New Scooby-Doo Movies, there were guest stars in animation. The Partridge Family Kids (Danny, Chris, Laurie and Tracy) were in many of them, while other episodes featured basketball star Wilt Chamberlain and music star Rick Springfield (who also appeared in Filmation's Mission: Magic that season as well. Other episodes featured no guest stars in cartoon form.

Goober and the Ghost Chasers aired Saturdays during the first season and Sunday mornings in the second. In 1977 it was a revolving feature on syndication's Fred Flintstone and Friends anthology series. The Partridge Family kids would appear the next season on CBS in Hanna-Barbera's Partridge Family: 2200 A.D. (also known as Partridge Family In Outer Space).
