Plot Overview

The Castaways are wondering what secret Gilligan is hiding from them. After a time of wondering passes, the secret is revealed. It is a Diary of what Gilligan has been writing since the day they were all Shipwrecked. This makes each one of the Castaways even more curious;especially The Skipper,Mr.Howell, and Ginger.Hoping to put an end to the nagging curiosity,Gilligan throws his Diary into the Lagoon,as witnessed by the others.Gilligan watching the looks of his fellow Castaways starts to regret the decision.Perhaps inspired by what they think Gilligan wrote in his Diary,The Skipper,Mr.Howell, and Ginger decide to write their own version of events. When Gilligan mentions the visit from the Japanese Sailor who came to the Island, and how he saved the other Castaways,The Skipper writes his version of how he saved the others, and Gilligan when they had been taken Prisoners. Then later when Gilligan talks to Mr.Howell about the visit from the Japanese Sailor,he also relays his version of how he saved the others, and Gilligan. The same with Ginger as she writes her version.Later on,Mary Ann finds the Diary which has been washed up on Island. She proceeds to read to the others Gilligan words. In the Diary,Gilligan praises the other Castaways bringing heartfelt feelings to them all,and appreciating Gilligan even more.Later in the Evening,The Skipper,Mr.Howell, and Ginger all put the stories they written in the Camp fire.Gilligan looks as though he is about to do the same thing, when the others stop him. What Gilligan was about to burn is not his Diary, but his Boy Scout Handbook. The others are relieved because they cherish Gilligans Diary probably even more than he does.Gilligan assures his fellow Castaways that he had hidden his Diary, and hope that one day he would remember where. The Diary is actually in his back pocket.
