Overview

Eastern State Revisited

The team go back to investigate Eastern State Penitentiary, which they had visited in Season 1. During that visit the team experienced many paranormal activity. Members of the team felt a feeling of dread in the prison and had the hairs on the back of their neck stand up. One cameraman ran out of a cell in fright. The team picked up something on one of their cameras as well, a black figure moving around on the screen. Although they felt this was one of their best cases, they could not conclude that paranormal activity was happening in the Penitentiary because Grant and Jason suspected that foul play could be involved.

In the return trip the evidence was not as plentiful. This time the team set up a camera near the spot where the black figure was spotted on the first visit. The team has new EMF readers (which detect energy fields) that are set to make sounds when levels are reached that could be the result of paranormal activity. However, no anecdotal events occur on the night of the investigation, and after reviewing the tapes Steve does not find anything. Jason comments on how in the first visit the team had a feeling of dread and on this second trip the place felt more peaceful.

Ogden House

The team investigate the vacation home of the Ogden family. Many strange paranormal activity has happened in this house. The husband, Colin Ogden has woken up in the morning to find his fingers bleeding with deep wounds. Paula Ogden has had trouble with a radio that comes on by itself, even after she unplugs it. The team have called this sort of activity from a "negative entity" because the entity is attempted to take control and interfere with the owner's lives.

In the investigation the team sets up cameras throughout the house. In the basement Steve and Andy sit in a room where activity is known to happen. Steve feels something on the back of his neck that he describes as a cobweb feeling, but he and Andy are not able to find any cobwebs in the room. Grant and Jason are upstairs in the bedroom, where the alleged bleeding occurred. Jason attempts to provoke the entity by calling it a coward and doubting it's ability to do these things, but nothing happens. They move into another room and get some EMF readings that are unusual. Jason is a holding a flashlight in his hands when suddenly it comes flying out. He claims that he felt as if something has smacked the flashlight from below his hands and knocked it out. On the video footage only the flashlight flying out of his hands is caught, but nothing of what hit his hands.

When reviewing the evidence Steve comes across an interesting soundbite. After there is a cough, which they know came from a team member in another room, there is a sound of a groan that they can not account for. When added to Jason's experience with the flashlight, Grant concludes that this is enough to say that some sort of paranormal activity is occurring in the vacation home. Jason and Grant get a good friend of theirs, and TAPS member Keith to help out in the case. Keith is a priest in addition to working with TAPS. He's also a demonologist and specializes in ridding spirits from homes. The team takes the evidence to Paula who recognizes the sound from the soundbite as saying "Colin" who is her husband, and this upsets her very much. Keith blesses the home in a Catholic ceremony at her request.

Notes

• In the first trip to the Eastern State Penitentiary the team all felt as if they were being watched. They were able to capture a black figure on their cameras, which they were unable to explain. In this episode they set up cameras pointed towards the area that they saw the black figure, in hopes of capturing a clearer picture of the apparent apparition.
