Gameshow Marathon is a game show that airs on CBS. The show is based on ITV's Ant and Dec's Gameshow Marathon.
Ricki Lake (previously a talk show hostess and earlier star of the original "Hairspray" movie) hosted seven re-creations of classic game shows using celebrities who play for charity as well as giving viewers at home a chance to win some of the prizes offered. The games played were The Price Is Right, Let's Make A Deal, Card Sharks, Press Your Luck, Beat The Clock, Match Game, and Family Feud. Six celebrities participate, with all playing The Price Is Right (half-hour version rules apply). The winner sits in the "Finalists Row" while the other five move on to the other shows. The last two remaining play Family Feud on the last installment with the winner pocketing $100,000 for charity. The big winner was comedienne Kathy Najimy.
The home viewer contest had viewers text messaging the correct answer to a question used in each of the games (they could also go to CBS's site to enter). Winners were determined by a random drawing of all correct answers. Videos of the winners receiving their prizes and welcomed by Todd Newton were shown.
The show was taped at Studio 46 of CBS Television City in Hollywood, California.
