Character History

Fred Krueger was a child killer/molester who terrorised the town of Springwood until he was finally caught by Sheriff Blocker just as he was preying on his twin daughters. Unfortunately, in his rush to apprehend Krueger, Blocker neglected to read him his rights. Upon learning of this, the trial was dismissed and Freddy was free to walk the streets again. Outraged, several parents in the neighbourhood got together to go outside the law and deliver their own justice. Blocker got wind of this, but upon hearing Freddy promise to finish what he started on his daughters, he doused him in gasoline and set him on fire. However, this seemed to be only the beginning of the town's real nightmare, as Freddy came back in the dreams of Springwood's population, carrying out his revenge while occasionally delighting in haunting their sleep.

Memorable Moments

When he is set on fire by a mob of angry parents. He first taunts Lt Blocker and upon being set on fire, he delights in the release of death, vowing to return.

Trivia

While the Freddy in the show is identical in appearance and personality to the character in the films, the show has certain elements of his backstory that differ to that of the films.
