Freakazoid! was a breakout cartoon backed by Steven Spielberg. No stranger to cartoons, Spielberg produced hit shows like Animaniacs and Tiny Toon Adventures before taking up the cartoon production racket with Freakazoid!. In the show, Dexter Douglas is a mild-mannered computer nerd. After accidently executing a flaw in his new computer chip by deleting a random string of characters created when his cat walked across his keyboard, Dexter was sucked into the internet and transformed into the Freakazoid, a superhero with lacking amounts of sanity. As Freakazoid, Dexter fights criminals like the Lobe, Longhorn and Candle Jack with his girlfriend Steph and his buddy Cosgrove.
Freakazoid! ran for two seasons on Kids WB before being cancelled and making its way to Cartoon Network for reruns.
