Frasier and Niles attend a silent auction and bid $4000 each on a luncheon with 3 Nobel prize winners. The night before the luncheon, Frasier and Niles stay up in the library in an attempt to be more impressive. Niles takes too much allergy medicine and ruins the luncheon.

Frasier and Niles find out Niles scored 27 points higher than Frasier on their childhood IQ test, although their mother said there was only 2 points difference.

- During the silent auction, Noel attempts to win time in the producer booth with Roz. Roz gets a lady to bid higher, although the lady said she "sensed a spark" between her and Roz.
- Martin wins a "Monarch 2000" grill at the auction.
- Daphne tells a wild story about her brother losing a toe and getting money from the "toe fairy."
