From The TV IV
Felicity is a college drama that aired on The WB. It follows the adventures of a young woman named Felicity Porter, who seems to have her post-high school life all figured out. That is, until she talks to the cutest guy at school, Ben Covington, at their graduation. Based on what he wrote in her yearbook, she falls for Ben and decides to completely upend her plans to follow him to college in New York. Once there, things aren't as easy as they first seemed, and Felicity is forced to make a lot of adult decisions, finding out who she really is in the process.
The show was perhaps best known for the "Ben vs. Noel" conflict, where Felicity had to choose between Ben, an attractive and well-meaning but rather clueless athlete, and Noel, a cute upperclassman graphic artist and computer geek. This was mostly a plot point in season 1 and the beginning of season 2, though it made occasional appearances later on in the series. The other thing the show was known for was the long curly locks of star Keri Russell. Felicity cut her hair at the start of season 2; this happened to coincide with a decrease in ratings, leading the network to stipulate that no one on the cast was allowed to change their appearance from that point on.
