A visiting professional basketball player boosts Carl's hope to get Eddie enthused for a pro basketball career himself.

The German episode title is "Kein Bock auf Basketball", meaning "No Goat Basketball".

The exterior shot for the school has been used for many other shows, including Full House, Step by Step, Hangin' With Mr. Cooper, Sister Sister, and Even Stevens.

Jaimee Foxworth (Judy) doesn't appear in this episode, but she is credited, however.
