Plot Overview
The episode presents eight different stories involving the Griffins and other people of Quahog as they observe Valentine's Day. The following occurs:
- Lois and Peter spend the day together in bed, trying to find a romantic spark. Things become complicated when Peter gets a call from an ex-girlfriend, Samantha.
- Meg has a face-to-face meeting with a boy, Toby, she had met online. Later, she realizes that Toby (somehow) stole her kidney and plans to sell it on the black market … but still overlooks this as she vows to spend a full day with Toby, as previously agreed on.
- After his latest one-night stand, Quagmire is told by his latest sexual conquest that he will get his one day. He suffers an electric shock and awakens as Glenda Vajmire, which leads to several awkward situations.
- Consuela meets up with her family across the border.
- Herbert's grandniece, Sandy, falls in love with Chris. With Herbert's help, Sandy asks Chris out.
- Stewie travels back in time to the 1960s to see what love was like during the sexual revolution. He kisses a little girl … not realizing at first that the girl is his mother, Lois, when she was his age.
- While Stewie is dealing with the trauma of meeting up with the 2-year-old version of Lois, he helps Brian get to the bottom of his past failures with women … by inviting all former girlfriends over. Brian and Stewie get into a big argument, until he realizes that Stewie is right and has to make amends. In the end, Brian ends up in bed with all his former girlfriends for one great night of lovemaking.
- Mayor Adam West learns that his wife, Carol, is having an affair with the mayor of rival town Weekapaug and vows to win her back. West confronts the rival mayor and gets the upper hand by poking a flag pin in his left eye. Carol apologizes to Mayor Adam West as she vows not to leave him again.

- Back to the Future: The scene of Stewie kissing his young mother (and at first unknowing who she is) is a parody of Marty McFly kissing the teen-aged version of his mother in the 1955 scenes of the 1985 science fiction movie.
- Valentine's Day and Thirty-two Short Films About Glenn Gould: The episode's plot is a mash-up of the 2010 romantic comedy centering on the title holiday, and the 1993 comedy presenting short vignettes having a common theme but otherwise unrelated.
