Family Guy — Season Ten |
Thanksgiving is the sixth episode of the tenth season of Family Guy, and the one hundred seventy-seventh episode overall.
The episode is basically a rant against the United States' involvement in Iraq and instigating the War in Iraq, framing Kevin Swanson's surprise return to Quahog after being deployed to the Middle East and being thought dead. The truth behind how he returned to the United States shocks the residents of Spooner Street, and it is up to Kevin to set things straight.

- All in the Family: A very similar situation – an individual failing to report to war because of their opposition of said conflict, trying to hide it from the others so as to avoid a nasty conflict but the truth comes out anyway – set during a holiday gathering with family and friends was presented in the memorable 1976 Christmas episode "The Draft Dodger." In the All In The Family instance, the war in question was the Vietnam War and the central character was a young man who, vehemently opposed to the war, fled to Canada to escape prosecution for ignoring his draft notice.
