Death Lives is the sixth episode of the third season of Family Guy, and the thirty-fourth episode overall.
Peter decides to skip his day with Lois (it is their anniversary) to go golfing with the guys. To keep Lois busy, he leaves a number of notes for her to follow the instructions on. Lois thinks that Peter is planning a big surprise for her. Peters plan to spend the entire day golfing, hits a snag. While playing golf it begins to rain, and then he is struck by lightening. Peter finds himself in Limbo. He is visited by Death. Death was sent to give Peter an epiphany. Peter would learn from the epiphany in which Death will show, but it will take nearly the entire episode for Peter to get the message. By the time he gets the message, Lois who had found out about Peters deception goes to the golf course to confront him. When Lois arrives at the golf course she receives a really nice surprise from both Peter, and Death. It comes in the appearance of one of Lois's favorite singers for whom Death arranged to come serenade Lois. This is Peter's anniversary gift to Lois.
This is Death's second appearance. This time Death's voice is that of Adam Carolla.
