[edit] Basic Information

Jon Pertwee's third doctor was something of a James Bond-like take on the role. Always dressed in dapper attire, and driving the so called Whomobile (it had 'Who' as the licenseplate) as he believed it had 'character', like many of the other incarnations he detested violence in any form. The Third Doctor's era is different than many of the others as he found himself stuck on Earth for a large majority of it, unable to travel through time and space. Due to this handicap he found himself forced to work with UNIT dealing with aliens and the newly introduced villain The Master in the present day.

[edit] Trivia

  • Jon Pertwee could never remember all the technobabble, so the phrase "Reverse the polarity of the neutron flow" (or variants thereof) became his solution to everything.

[edit] Quotes

  • Repeated line:

"I've reversed the polarity of the neutron flow!"

"A straight line may be the shortest distance between two points, but it is by no means the most interesting."

"A tear, Sarah Jane? No, don't cry. Where there's life, there's..."
