Trivia

The Show

  • There is an option on the DVD release to replace the shots of the original prop snake with a computer-generated version.

Behind the Scenes

  • Due to studio problems with camera flare, the five-day studio schedule was eroded to the point where there was no time left for some of shots that Grimwade had intended. This included the depiction of Mara's snake form in episode four, leading the director to have to use a less-than-convincing puppet. However, the problems did lead the programme to expand to a six-day recording block in the future.
