Behind the Scenes

Writer Marc Platt originally wrote (what later became a Virgin New Adventure novel) "Lungbarrow" for this episode. Producer John Nathan-Turner thought that it revealed entirely too much about The Doctor, so Ghostlight was provided as a replacement.
