Gameplay
- Edward Thomassie made a $5 bet with his friend that he would win a large amount of cash on the show, which used the standard rules. As it turned out, his friend will be paying up: Thomassie won $131,000 when he accepted a deal with five cases left. Left in play at that point were cases containing $300,000 and $500,000.
- However, the playout proved Thomassie quit at a good time. Despite seeing a potential offer of $221,000 on what would have been his next pick (opening $25,000), he would have soon crashed; his next post-game pick was $500,000, then $300,000. Inside his case: Ironically, $5 — enough to pay his friend back; the other remaining case was $5,000.
