Gameplay
- Brooks Leach, a bearded man-mountain, was the sole contestant for the entire show. Initially, he fared well, eliminating just one six-figure amount ($300,000) in his first round. At one point, he turned down an offer which included a lifetime supply of Spracher root beer ($26,657.28), and three straight six-figure offers. After peaking at $218,000, he began opening the large amounts, and temporarily saw his offer dip to $73,000 before rebounding. With just three cases left — $10, $100 and $500,000 — he refused a $147,000 offer (despite strong urging from his sister), and opened the $500,000 case. In the end, he refused a $50 deal and walked dejectedly from the studio with the $10 that was inside his case.
Notes
- Brooks Leach - whom came to be well-loved by the show's fans for his sportsmanship and fun-loving personality - returned to play DoND on the series' ceremonial 100th episode, aired May 7, 2007. For details about that game, click here.
- With his $10 prize, Leach became by far the smallest winner of the second season (so far), and one of four contestants in the U.S. version to date to leave with $50 or less.
- During the game, as Leach selected the cases, the models would sit on a bench near the contestant's podium (for good luck and because Leach "loved" the models).
