• Hotel clerk Frankie Panico opened up a huge gap in the Super Seven (leaving just $100,000 and $1 million), and challenged by the banker to "be a man, not a Chihuahua lover" (Frankie owns one), he pressed his luck down to his wit's end, but his big-money dreams ended in round 6, when case 6 turned up the top prize. Frankie then chose to play on until the last two, when he decided to take $50,000. His case had 0.1% of that.

• Malaika Merrick looked for some money to get married, though she was not actually engaged yet despite planning her wedding for 5 years. Both of the top two cases were removed in round 2, and Malaika turned down the low offer to close out the show.
