Plot Overview

David hurts Amy while trying to stop her from telling Elizabeth about Quentin. Amy tries to tell Elizabeth and then is stopped when she sees Quentin. Elizabeth and Maggie become concerned with David's recent behavior. Maggie follows David into the west wing of Collinwood.

Elizabeth: David, are you all right?

David: Tell her, Amy. We were just playing a game, jail, and she escaped and I had to catch her again.

Amy: No, NO!

Elizabeth: Amy, everything's going to be all right.

David: We were just playing a game, Aunt Elizabeth, honest.

Elizabeth: David, you're too old for this kind of behavior. Amy is younger than you are, and I expect to protect her. Now go to your room and stay there until I come up.

David: Why should I be punished? She was playing the game, too!

Amy: I wasn't playing.

David: You were too! She lies all the time, Aunt Elizabeth.

Amy: That is not true!

David: It is, you can't believe a word she says. She makes things up.

Amy: I know why you're saying that!

Elizabeth: Children, enough of this! Now, David, you heard me. Up those stairs right now!

David: You'd believe a stranger, before you'd believe your own nephew!

(he angrily runs to his room)
