Plot Overeview

It is revealed that J.R. shot at the mirror when ordered by Adam to "DO IT" ... that is, kill himself at the end of the episode "Condundrum" five years earlier. It can be assumed that J.R. was attempting to destroy Adam, who appeared to him, first in a dream and later in a drunken hallucination, and that Adam's mission had, with him being destroyed, failed.
