Fall of the House of Ewing is the twenty-ninth episode of the tenth season of Dallas, and the two hundred fifty-first episode overall.

Two years earlier, it was Patrick Duffy who was leaving Dallas, as Bobby Ewing – who just agreed to remarry Pamela Barnes Ewing – died of injuries after being struck by a vehicle driven by an obsessed Katharine Wentworth ... only for a year later to realize it never happened (and Duffy returning to the show).

In a bit of irony, this was the departing Victoria Principal's last show as Pamela Barnes Ewing ... and it was for good. Again, it The explosive (literally) final scene explains the whole thing, just after (ironically enough) this time the two agreed to get married again.

Plot Overview

In the final scene, Pamela is so excited to learn from her doctor that she can, after all, carry a child to term. She calls Bobby with the incredibly good news, and she tells him she can't wait to get home to be with him.

And just as she hangs up ... a truck carrying natural gas is crossing the road. Pamela sees it ... too late. She slams on the brakes but the truck, which is having trouble crossing the road, is too slow, and she can't stop the car fast enough. The car careens right into the truck's fuel tank, and there is a huge explosion upon impact.
