Arc Advancement

Happenings

Characters

  • Ramona reminds him that he one bought her a couple of drinks and told her he wanted to take her home. However, he never called and he asks for it again and agrees.
  • Soon after, McNab reveals to Dominic that Ramona is his daughter, but he doesn't tell anyone so she won't be treated differently. He also reveals that she's dating Detective Marlowe, but fears he's a bit of a womaniser.

Referbacks

  • Ramona tells Dominic that had met before when he got drunk the night his car went missing in "The Bridge" and she told he not to drive.

Trivia

The Show

  • Camille Sullivan would return as Detective Suki Taylor in Seasons 5 through 7.
  • Instead of the closing theme, the song "Hymn for Unbelievers" by Simon Kendall that plays over the final moments continues to play over the closing credits. The closing executive producer credits also differ in that they have been changed to black over a white screen.

Behind the Scenes

  • This episode runs in real time, the first act running for just over ten minutes without interruption. According to Chris Haddock this concept stemmed simply to save on cost, anticipating a shrink in budget.

Quotes

  • Leo: My first homicide was a gunshot, except it was a rifle, a big Weatherby.
Mick: Yeah, you told me that story.
Leo: No, I didn't.
Mick: Yeah, you did.
Leo: No, I didn't.
Mick: Yeah, you did. You're repeating yourself. Two guys, they went off hunting, a hunting trip. They're up all night drinking, they get up the next day, shoot the same deer. They get into a beef about it. One guy ends up shooting the other one and he makes it look like a hunting accident. You told me this one.
Leo: Christ, I am repeating myself. You know, my dad used to do that all the time. It drove me crazy.
Mick: Yeah, you told me that one, too.
  • Dominic: Are you holding junk?
Dealer: You look like a cop. Are you a cop?
Dominic: No, I'm not a cop, but my friend over here, he is a cop. If you don't sell me the dope, he's going to come over here and arrest you. What can I say? It's backwards day.
