Cyborg 009

Is the name of several animated series and a manga series of comic books created by Shotaro Ishinomori. It focuses on nine individuals who are kidnapped off the street by the evil Black Ghost organization to undergo human experiments. As a result of this tampering, they are converted into cyborgs that possess super human strength. These nine cyborgs manage to escape and band together to fight for their freedom and stop Black Ghost from starting the next World War (by supplying rich buyers with their choice of counless weapons of mass destruction).
