Plot Overview

Manny Weisbord collapses during a business meeting with Luca and their fellow mobsters, and at the hospital, it's determined that he has suffered a massive heart attack. Luca orders the entire floor of the hospital shut down, guards on Weisbord's room and no one to know he's there. Torello and the Task Force find out, though, and decide to shake things up by phoning Mob guys in several major cities, who all send flowers and well-wishes, to the consternation of Luca. Mike has something else on his mind, though--a young girl he gave a ride to from the airport, a girl who arrived in town to become a dancer, is found beaten, raped and left for dead in an alley. Knowing that she hooked up with a 'talent agent' whose clients ultimately wind up turning tricks, Torello and Krychek pay the man a couple of visits to get him to reveal who the girl met up with, and learn that Steve Kordo was the one she met up with. They arrest the 'talent agent' and head off with a warrant to arrest Kordo, but the warrant is invalid due to the witness--the agent--getting killed in his cell. At the hospital, Luca pressures the doctors to keep Weisbord alive, despite their admonitions that he's suffering from Progressive Heart Disease and nothing can be done. The mobster refuses to take no for an answer and demands that specialists by brought in. A Swiss doctor who's done heart transplants on dogs is forced by Luca to carry out a transplant on his mentor, using a 'donor' heart. Goldman and Kordo learn that Luca and Weisbord have left the hospital, and they come to the conclusion that Luca has to be taken out. Max pressures Kordo to do the deadly deed, despite his protests that he's an attorney and has never handled a gun before. The Task Force gets a tape of that conversation (they bugged the room), and Torello brings the tape to Goldman, telling him his chances are better if they join forces. Goldman arrives at Luca's penthouse in time to save him, but Kordo winds up falling to his death from the roof. Corinne, the girl whom Torello helped, survives her injuries and goes home with her Dad, and Weisbord also survives the heart transplant. Torello asks Goldman if he'll be sharing things with him from on, to which he replies 'Some things, no, other things...maybe'.
