Notes

Trivia

The Show

  • Ann Poole, the news reporter from Shapeshifters Anonymous, makes a return appearance in this episode, interviewing Alex and Ted aboard the Ocula.

Behind the Scenes

Allusions and References

  • The title of this story is a play on the 1983 film The Right Stuff, which was also about a crew of astronauts.
  • The letters "KNB" appear on a monitor in the Ocula. This is a reference to the KNB EFX Group, Inc, a practical effects company co-founded by Greg Nicotero that produces the special effects for the series.
  • Another monitor on the Ocula reads "HAL". This is the name from the rogue artificial intelligence from the 1968 film 2001: A Space Odyssey.
  • The heads of the Gorangi look remarkably similar to those of the Martians from the 1996 film Mars Attacks!
