History

Crackle introduced original programming during its first years, with short episode (typically 3-10 minutes) shows, both scripted and unscripted. The most popular scripted shows were eventually edited into feature films, and released as such on DVD - horror series Woke Up Dead, action series The Bannen Way and Angel of Death, comedy series Backwash, etc.

In 2012 Jerry Seinfeld's comedy talk show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee premiered, and in 2013, Crackle began producing half-hour shows - thriller Chosen and action Cleaners. In 2014, they will be followed by action series Strand Street, music performance show Play It Forward, and a second season of The Bannen Way.

In addition Crackle has also introduced a lineup of original feature films, starting with 2013's "Extraction" and the upcoming "Joe Dirt: The Sequel".
