This episode features the only time we see the usually unflappable Lt. Columbo get mad. Frustrated by his inability to nail Dr. Mayfield (Leonard Nimoy) for the murder, he grabs the doctor by the lapels and talks to him in a threatening manner. Oddly enough, Columbo finds a critical piece of evidence because of this.
