A cold tag is a segment of a program that follows the end credits. Also known as a stinger. For example, Mystery Science Theater 3000 is known to end every episode with a short clip of the featured movie taken from earlier in the episode. Most cold tags don't simply repeat content, and they can consist of anything from a sound effect (as on Space Ghost Coast to Coast) to a full scene (as on The Venture Bros.).
