Plot Overview
The date is August 18, 1986. A popular high school couple are attacked in the Lover's Lane area, with the girl being raped and fatally stabbed and the boy suffering a concussion and a near-fatal stab wound. Fast-forward to 2004, and the man who went to prison for the crime is released due to new DNA evidence. Scotty points out that Lily bears a striking resemblance to the murdered girl, something also noticed by the boyfriend when Lily goes to question him. In probing the dead girl's background, Lily discovers that she drew attention from many of the male students at her school and just may have been 'shopping around' for a new boyfriend, as well as her involvement with a creepy guy who worked at the same mall as her, who wanted to run off to Atlantic City with her to film a 'music video'.
