Plot Overview
Shortly after the servant for a rich man is critically wounded in what appears to be a burglary attempt, the man is shot to death with the same gun. Cade is surprised when he sees the man's widow...she's a woman from Cade's past, a woman he almost married before he went to fight in Korea, and all the evidence seems to point to her as being the murderer. Sam sets out to clear her, wondering all the while just why her stepson is so intent on her being charged with the crime.
