- She was abducted by the Miniature Killer and was buried underneath the car; she manages to escape but collapsed because of heat exhaustion beofre the CSIs find her and stabilized her.
- A Past case about Marlon West and his sister Hannah came back to haunt her. When Marlon hung himself in jail, she showed the picture to Hannah. Hannah was devastated and broke down. Having ghosts to bury, Sara resigned from the Crime Lab.
- Sara returned to Las Vegas upon hearing the news of Warrick Brown's death.
- When Grissom retired from CSI, he met Sara at Costa Rica and they shared a long kiss.
