• Catherine was reprimanded by Grissom for compromising the case by using personal relationships.
• This is the first episode of CSI to have an accident case. No person killed Wendy Barger. When she said goodnight to Phil Swelco, he turned the boat on. As the boat left, it stalled in the middle of the lake. As Wendy struggles to restart, she dislocated her shoulder, bonked her head on the boat and fell in the lake.
