Plot Overview
While on night patrol, Ponch and Bobby respond to an alarm from a jewelry store and pursue the car involved. They're surprised to learn that the culprit is a preteen girl who claims that an E.T. asked her to break into the store. Noting that the girl's mother seems to be unfit, Ponch takes her in while he, Bobby and Kathy try to figure her out. During her time with Ponch, the girl is contacted again by the alien, and Ponch and Bobby have to save her from an alien abduction. The two officers also team up with a pair of Japanese LAPD officers to track down thieves who are robbing Japanese tourists.
