Plot Overview

A family of crooks steal a CHP cruiser, and in the ensuing chase, there's a multi-car accident and Bonnie damages a cruiser. This makes her the target of Getraer's ire, and eventually the Lieutenant assigns her to desk duty, creating friction between her and the Sergeant. After Getraer snaps at a few more people around the precinct, he reveals why he's so on edge--his former commander is coming in for an inspection. When a black and white car resembling a cruiser is stolen, Jon and Ponch realize that the crooks are planning a major heist in which the vehicles will be utilized. Also, Jon winds up rooming with Ponch temporarily.
