Sam Axe is a semi-retired Navy Seal. He is an old friend of Micheal Westen who he helps on his jobs. He was forced to become an informant for the FBI to monitor Micheal, which Micheal and Sam used to their advantage. Sam finds places to stay with older, wealthy 'lady friends'.
