Plot Overview
A day at the rodeo takes a dark turn when the Grand Marshal, former cowboy star Clayton Steele, rides out on his white steed and promptly falls off the horse, dead as a doornail. When it's determined that Steele died of a broken neck, Burke discovers that a number of people at the rodeo can kill bulls with a twist of the neck, including a champion rodeo rider who owned part of the circus with Steele and was also mad at him for stealing his girl; a female bronc buster who's engaged to the rodeo champ and was formerly involved with Steele; two of his former co-stars, one of whom is a serious actor of the stage whose career was ruined by being cast as an Indian sidekick; and the rodeo's veterinarian, who was also romantically involved with Steele at one time.
