Plot Overview
Author Graham Tree suffers a severe beating at a party for his latest novel, "The Gusher", and later collapses and is declared dead. Trouble is, he's not dead, but in the hospital from a forced overdose of sleeping pills. Burke and his men investigate the guests at the party, all people libeled in Tree's book, and try to prevent the killer from finishing the job.
