The Woman in Limbo is the twenty-second episode of the first season of Bones, the twenty-second episode overall, and is the first season's finale.
Brennan identifies the remains of her mother which leads to unexpected revelations about her parents' past.

A body is discovered which Temperance soon learns is of her mother, whom has been missing for more than 15 years. She has difficulty to cope with what happened, but Booth takes the case to the FBI so that it can be properly investigated. Temperance learns that her parents have a different past than what she had always thought. They were involved in a gang of criminals. Temperance's estranged brother, Russ, was old enough to know all of their real names and why they had to go into hiding.

- An above average season finale from an above average series. Learning about Temperance's past isn't something that I've been waiting for, but it still made for an interesting episode. Like most Bones episodes it's one that I wouldn't be particularly excited about going back to; as far as I'm concerned it's been resolved as much as it needs to be. --MateoP 19:53, 9 June 2006 (EDT)
