Plot Overview
Virginia City residents are forced to band together when the bloodthirsty Doyle gang – a band of condemned criminals on their way to prison to be hanged for murder and armed robbery – takes Jamie and three of his teen-aged friends hostage, with the intent of making the authorities escape to Mexico unhindered. The plot centers on the conflict between several of the teenagers' parents, and the growing impatience of both the parents and (separately) the criminals – and how it impacts Ben's efforts to come up with a plan to rescue the captured teens and bring the bad guys to justice.
