Plot Overview
This story is a flashback of Clay remembering just after his brothers were shot and he was left for dead. He remembers how a retired judge-turned-rancher found him and nursed him back to health. The judge encouraged Clay to turn to law instead of depending on his guns. The judge's retirement was explained like this: he hung his own son after his son committed murder. But the judge had twin sons, and the second half of the episode focuses on this.
