Being Human is a paranormal drama that airs on BBC Three. The pilot aired as part of BBC Three's Pilot Season in early 2008, after which it was picked up as a series. Because of the majority of the characters of the pilot were re-casted for the series, the creators and producers consider the series to be 'rebooted' as of the first episode. As a result of this reboot the pilot is not being shown on BBC America or other international networks.

In October of 2009 Syfy announced that they had ordered an American remake of the series.
