Baywatch Nights is an action drama that aired in syndication. The program is a spin-off of Baywatch.
The show is infamous for its abrupt shift in genres between seasons. Whereas the first sees Buchannon and company working as private detective agency (the remnants of a failed Peter Gunn reboot), the second has them tasked by a mysterious agency with investigating the paranormal (in an obvious effort to copy the success of The X-Files).
