Basic Information
Raptor ECO, callsign Racetrack. Takes over as Boomer's ECO for Crashdown while he's away on the Kobol mission.
Character History
Racetrack first appeared in Kobol's Last Gleaming (2) when she accompanied Boomer on her mission to destroy the Cylon Basestar orbiting Kobol. She has since appeared in several episodes, and seems to be getting an increasingly large amount of screentime. Judging from episodes Final Cut and Flight of the Phoenix she has a bleak and bitter outlook on life aboard the Galactica. In the former episode, she is seen crying at Galactica's "memorial" to the loved ones lost in the Cylon attacks.
She initially gave Helo a hard time upon his return to the Galactica, but apparently started to respect him after he assisted in the construction of the Blackbird stealth fighter.
Memorable Moments
- Flight of the Phoenix: During a period of low crew morale, a bitter and irritated Racetrack unwisely provokes Starbuck, resulting in her head getting slammed into a table.
- Lay Down Your Burdens (1): Racetrack's Raptor accidentally jumps to the wrong coordinates at the start of Starbuck's search-and-rescue mission and discovers New Caprica.
Trivia
- According to the caption in Racetrack's interview with D'Anna Biers in the episode Final Cut, she is Colonial Fleet, not Fleet Reserve.
- She is the only now living member of Galactica's crew to have seen the inside of a Cylon Basestar (not counting any undercover Cylons).
Racetrack is occasionally confused with Kat and vice-versa, mostly because of people having issues keeping secondary characters' callsigns straight.
Quotes
Final Cut: "Me, I'm just worried that Hell's gonna be a lonely place, and I'm gonna fill it up with every toaster son-of-a-bitch I find."
