Plot Overview
Emma returns to White Pine Bay to learn about her mother. Norman is set for a preliminary trial where his lawyer prepares for a strategy and Dylan has to decide whether or not he wants to help. Romero learns about Norman's arrest and makes his move.

- Police search the Bates property and find Chick's body in the basement.
Characters
- Emma visits Dylan in White Pine Bay where he tells her about her mother. She stays long enough to plan her cremation and spreads her ashes.
- Norman has a preliminary hearing. At Ramos's urging, Dylan attends, but leaves early.
- Maggie pleads for Romero they go to a family cabin in Montana under assumed identities, but he says goodbye and leaves to where Norman is being held.
- Before she returns to Oregon, Emma goes to visit Norman. After hearing him talk, she realises he is in Mother's persona. She simply asks Mother to tell him that she misses him.
- Romero takes Regina by gunpoint and uses her gain access to Norman. He then takes Norman with him and Regina who he has drive them to where Norman has kept Norma's body.

- Police unearth Audrey's suitcase Norman buried in "Forever".
- The funeral home Emma goes to is the same one where Norman arranged Norma's funeral in "Norman". Justin Willcock's hope to see his daughter Sabel join the family business seems to have come true, but it's unknown where her father is.
