Plot Overview
Norman takes in a stray dog, as he continues to wait on Bradley to continue with their relationship. With Sheriff Romero covering up the crimes and murder of Shelby, Norma is ready to begin business. However, talk in town prevents any rooms at the motel from getting booked, save for one man who unnerves Dylan.

Happenings
- Sheriff Romero covers up for the death of Shelby and all of his actions that absolves the Bates of anything.
- Shelby had apparently said that he shot Jiao in the woods.
- The Bates Motel is about a week away from opening. Unfortunately, no reservations have been made due to word-of-mouth of what happened with Shelby.
- A man shows up at the motel asking about Keith Summers. He had a standing reservation for Room 9 every two month for a week. He then approaches Norma to set up the same "business arrangement" he had with Summers.
- Norma hired Emma to work at the motel for some afternoons of the week.
Characters
- Norman finds a stray dog and attempts to take it as a pet, but is killed by a car.
- Dylan still plans to move out.
- Bradley returns to school, but doesn't acknowledge any relationship. When he confronts her, she admits it was a spur of the moment thing. Norman walks off, quoting his mother before Bradley inadvertently defuses the situation.
- Norma learns about Bradley Martin and tries to dissuade him from her.
