Behind the Scenes
Guest star Jonathan Goldsmith made many appearances on QM shows over the years (including four other Barnaby Jones appearances) under his real name of Jonathan Lippe. He admitted in Jonathan Etter's book, Quinn Martin, Producer, that he made a faux pas at a company Christmas party that resulted in him not getting any more work from QM--he thanked Martin for giving him work, which was something that Martin didn't like to hear from any of his actors (and he really wasn't too comfortable around actors to begin with). This appearance was made after Martin sold the company, which accounts for the casting of Goldsmith.
