Bananaman is an animated comedy that was produced for and aired on TV in the UK. It had a run in the U.S. as a companion subject to Danger Mouse on Nickelodeon. It is based on a comic book printed in England by Steve Bright, Dave Donaldson and John Geering. The voices were mainly supplied by the members of the British comedy trio the Goodies.
Eric Twinge is an ordinary British boy who becomes the superhero Bananaman when he eats a banana. His friend is Fiona, a TV news presenter, and he has a cousin, Samantha. As Bananaman he battles such villains as General Blight, the Heavy Mob, the Weatherman, King Zorg of the Nerks, and Appleman.
