Plot Overview

Jack runs into Carly and surprises her by apologizing for judging her too harshly and shocks her by commending her for going after what she loves. When Jack reminds Carly how much she wanted a 2nd chance after losing Nora, Carly realizes she’s lost too much going after the money and decides to forget about it and concentrate on her baby instead. When Molly tells Carly how a furious John swore to her that Carly would never keep her baby, Carly decides she has to get away from John once and for all. A nice family moment as Brad gives Jack a stereo for Christmas to make up for the one he didn’t get him when they were little. They all laugh when Jack reveals he got the same thing for Brad. As they head to the church, Jack is waylaid by a police call. As he goes to meet them, he’s surprised to find Carly on his doorstep. Sara Ruth nabs Ben, makes him realize that Camille doesn’t love Brad, she only slept with him because she felt Ben didn’t want her. Ben insists he did want her, and goes to find her at the church where they come face to face. Lily and Holden hold vigil for Hope, and their Christmas wish is granted when Ben informs them that Hope simply came down with a common ailment in infants. Georgia and Eddie exchange Christmas gifts, but there’s still tension between them. When Katie shows up, Georgia feels like she’s been replaced as Eddie’s pal and makes an excuse to leave. Tom and Margo spend a pleasant Christmas with their family and re-bond with each other. Kim is disappointed when Bob comes back from the train station empty-handed, with an excuse from Chris why he couldn’t make it home. When Kim hears Andy’s not even with his dad, John, like he said he’d be, Kim worries that her children are slipping away. But at Molly’s insistence, Andy decides to make an appearance.
