Plot Overview
Chris and Nancy discuss having Chris' father, Will "Grandpa" Hughes, live with them. Pa has been struggling to maintain the family farm in Gilman, Ohio. Plans are being made for Chris and Nancy's wedding anniversary. Penny is upset that Nancy won't let her go away with Ellen for spring vacation. Ellen, in turn, is upset by her parents' deteriorating marriage. Donald, a senior at Oakdale High School, is dating a waitress named Janice Turner.
