Plot Overview

Michael gets some refreshing news: on Jim Cramer's Mad Money, Bluth Company stock has been upgraded from "triple sell" to "don't buy". When he visits who he thinks is his father to gloat, he realizes Oscar has been wrongfully imprisoned. Because Lucille has finally stopped taking her post-partum depression medicine, Michael suggests she gets away from Buster by taking a vacation at the Bluth cabin in Reno, which is about to be relocated.

GOB is crushed, having never heard of the cabin, but when he receives a letter from a father-son reunion service he believes George Sr. is making a belated attempt to connect with him. When he goes to the meeting, he realizes his father isn't going to show up and instead bonds with his illegitimate son Steve Holt- the boy whom, unbeknownst to him, he was actually supposed to meet there.

Michael finds out Barry Zuckercorn is in Reno with George Sr. When he gets to Reno, Michael finds Tobias- without Kitty- waiting tables instead of performing, and realizes his father is posing as a Blue Man. Tobias expresses his regret over leaving Lindsay, so Michael calls her to orchestrate a reconciliation, then confronts Barry and fires him.

Meanwhile, since their taboo kiss George Michael and Maebe have been avoiding each other and their shared bedroom. When Lindsay decides to drive to Reno to find Tobias, she brings them along for the ride. They nearly rekindle their romance, but decide to wait until the next day. At the same time, Michael encounters GOB and Steve Holt in Reno, and after reading GOB's letter informs him that Steve Holt is his son. GOB flees, and inspired by his brother's poor example Michael decides to take his own son to the Bluth Cabin- again foiling George Michael's designs on his cousin. They awaken in the morning to find the cabin, with the two of them still inside, has been driven away on a flatbed truck by George Sr. to prevent Oscar's release.

Quotes

  • Lucille: How am I supposed to find someone willing to go into that musty old claptrap?
  • George, Sr.: Come on! You're old enough to figure this out. I'm nailing this broad!
  • Oscar:I'm innocent, Michael! I'm Oscar... dot com!
  • Michael: Hey, why don't you pop a tent in front with your cousin, Maeby.
    George Michael: What?! No!
Maeby: I'm not really the outdoorsy type.
Michael: Well, then this is a good chance for you to rub off on her.
  • GOB: I've made a huge tiny mistake.
  • GOB: Well I will tell you this Michael, I don't have a son. But if I ever do, I'm either going to take him to the cabin in the woods, or I'm going to promise to take him and then not take him. But the one thing that I will never do is not tell him that I'm taking him to a cabin in the woods and then not take him.
